Microphone Issues

If a website isn’t picking up a mic, you might need to change your settings to allow the site to have access.
  1. To the left of the web address, click Lock Info or Dangerous.
  2. At the bottom, click Site Settings.
  3. In the new tab, to the right of “Microphone,” click the Down arrow and choose “Allow”.
  4. Go back to the site and reload the page.
  1. Click on the Start menu.
  2. Click on settings.
  3. Click on Privacy.
  4. Select Microphone.
  5. Make sure the option for “Let apps use my microphone” is set to “on”.
  6. Make sure that Microsoft Edge is set to “on”
If a website isn’t picking up a mic, you might need to change your settings to allow the site to have access.
  1. Access the ‘Safari’ menu in the top left.
  2. Choose ‘Preferences, then click ‘Websites’
  3. The settings you can customize (such as Microphone) are listed on the left.
  4. Modify the permissions to “Allow”
    • Ask: The site must ask if it can use the microphone on your Mac.
    • Deny: The site can’t use your microphone.
    • Allow: The site can always use your microphone.
